Saltaire in Yorkshire provided the back drop for a wonderful vintage fashion show in October 2011.

Saltaire was founded in 1853 by Sir Titus Salt a leading industrialist in the Yorkshire woollen industry. The name of the heritage village is a combination of the founders surname and river which runs through it.

The event was hosted by Carolyn Brown of The House Of Rose and Brown Vintage Boutique in Saltaire.

This is the place to buy vintage clothing, vintage jewellery, accessories and collectables. Established in 2007 they have treasures from every era.

Vintage Fashion Show

The event was an opportunity to showcase many of the wonderful dresses and designs on offer.

A huge amount of thanks must go to the girls for the 14 hours of work they put in, I certainly appreciated their efforts. Although preparing hair designs for 22 models is no mean feat!

Over 200 people attended the event and I think it was greatly received by everyone and cocktails and champagne was served to the masses.

The whole event was a huge success and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting lots of great people.
